A New Chapter at Imagine Events

After more than three decades of innovation, creativity, and unforgettable events, Imagine Events is entering an exciting new chapter. We’re thrilled to announce that our founder, Peter Ralph, has decided to retire, passing the leadership of the company on to the next generation. His children, Adam Ralph and Carly Ralph, will now take the helm, bringing fresh energy and vision to the family business.
Continuity and Change: A Family Legacy
Imagine Events has always been more than just a business for the Ralph family—it’s been a way of life. Founded in 1996 after Peter’s many years of experience in the events and exhibitions industry, Imagine Events quickly became known for its attention to detail, innovative designs, and commitment to client satisfaction. Now, with Adam stepping into the role of Managing Director and Carly as Operations Director, the company is poised to build on that legacy while embracing the future.
Adam, who joined the business in 2009, shares his thoughts on this new chapter:
“Having grown up around exhibition halls and design studios, this industry has always been a part of me. Some of my earliest memories involve crafting makeshift swords from timber offcuts and collecting screws and bolts while Dad worked on exhibitions. That early exposure laid the foundation for my passion, and since officially joining the company 15 years ago, I’ve soaked up as much knowledge and experience as possible.”
He continues, “Now, as Managing Director, I’m excited to lead Imagine Events into its next chapter. While maintaining our focus on innovative design and exceptional customer satisfaction, we’re also embracing the latest technologies and materials to enhance sustainability. Exhibiting has evolved in style and manufacturing methods, and Carly and I are in a great position to influence that change—especially when it comes to reducing the environmental impact of our industry. Our vision is for Imagine Events to become a responsible, sustainable, and low-impact design and production company, committed to being the best in our field both to work with and to work for.”
A Shared Vision for the Future
Carly’s journey with Imagine Events has been slightly different. After spending years in various marketing roles outside of the family business, she returned to Imagine Events full-time in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective.
“Growing up, I spent a lot of time in Dad’s office, eagerly helping with tasks like organising the calendar and managing the (handwritten!) job book,” Carly recalls. “I learned so much from watching Dad and Mum run the business together, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to work alongside Adam as he transitioned into leading the company. It always felt like I was destined to come back to Imagine Events, and now that I’m here, I’m thrilled to step into the role of Operations Director.”
Carly adds, “What excites me most about this new chapter is the opportunity to build on the strong foundation Dad created. Adam and I have a great working relationship, and we’ve spent countless hours dreaming and planning the future. We’re committed to working hard, giving our all, and driving the company towards even greater success. Our focus will be on sustainability, innovation, and making sure Imagine Events remains a fantastic place to work and a trusted partner for our clients.”
Why Stockport?
One of the significant changes in recent years has been the relocation of Imagine Events to Stockport, a move that has provided the company with a strategic base to expand and innovate.
“Stockport is an ideal location for us. It’s a town with a rich industrial heritage and a growing creative community, making it the perfect place for us to call home. We’re excited to contribute to the local economy and continue our growth from here. The move has also positioned us closer to many of our clients, enabling us to serve them even better.” says Adam.
Looking Ahead
As Imagine Events moves forward under new leadership, the focus remains firmly on what has always mattered most: delivering exceptional events and exhibitions that leave a lasting impression. With Adam and Carly at the reins, the future is full of opportunities to innovate, grow, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the events industry.
Adam sums it up perfectly:
