The challenge
In a real example of taking a brand beyond the stand, Wipro invited Image Events to provide complete planning, management and support for their annual event incorporating a 5k fun run, hospitality and entertainment.

Wipro Technologies is the leading global consulting and outsourcing company that supports many large corporations across 6 continents operating in financial services, media, logistics, energy, government, engineering and construction, communications and healthcare. They wanted to celebrate the spirit of Wipro with an outdoor event that brought their employees, families, business partners and customers together.

At Imagine Events, we’re always looking for ways to take your brand beyond the stand, and for this client we really were out to provide a whole range of services and assistance far beyond what’s expected at an exhibition or trade show.

We provided complete event support, working with the Spirit of Wipro to plan, advise and manage everything from finding the location to hospitality, catering, transport, entertainment and all the associated logistics.

With the focus of the event being a 5k fun run, we also designed and marked out the course, arranged first aid and were always on hand to guide our client through dealing with the necessary health and safety and licensing requirements.

The result
The runners told us that they found the 5k course to be very scenic with its slight undulations proving an enjoyable challenge. Other activities including an inflatable slide, soft play, face painting and colouring kept younger visitors busy while older children and adults got competitive with a disc golf competition.

We closed the day with a real touch of colour and spice from an excellent Bhangra dance troupe performing an East meets West routine. They also provided a group dance lesson, and even the runners joined in.
